Indianapolis signed Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Gardner Minshew to a 1-year contract worth $3.5 million. The signing was confirmed by a team source.  NFL Network Journalist Tom Pelissero also confirmed the signing. According to NFL Reporter Ian Rappoport, Minshew’s deal can max out at $5.5 million. Colt’s General Manager Chris Ballard keeps his word regarding signing his own. According to NFL Reporter Mike Garafolo, the Colts are signing linebacker E.J. Speed to a two-year contract worth $8 million. The news broke Wednesday apart of NFL free agency. E.J. Speed will make $1.58 million in 2023. Speed received a $2.92 million signing bonus. The Indianapolis Colts have made their first move in free agency. Defensive End Samson Ebukam signed a 3-year contract worth $27 million, according to NFL Reporter Adam Schefter. Reporter Jeremy Fowler also confirmed the signing. Ebukam will receive $11 million this upcoming season. Ebukam recorded 21 tackles, 5 sacks, and a forced fumble in 2022. Horseshoe country hired DeAndre Smith as running backs coach.  New York Daily News Journalist Pat Leonard reported the hire. Former running backs coach Scottie Montgomery left and accepted a job with the Detroit Lions. Smith reunites with Steichen. The two worked together in 2009 at UNLV when Steichen was an offensive graduate assistant. Smith recently coached star running Saquon Barkley.
