What will Bo Nix bring to the Denver Broncos?
In case you missed it — the Denver Broncos cut ties with potential Hall of Famer, Russell Wilson earlier this off-season. Despite owing Wilson nearly $40 million just not to play for them, this season, the Broncos took action in rebuilding their quarterback room, as the club traded for former New York Jets first round pick, Zach Wilson.
It didn’t take long for the Broncos to continue their overhauling of the QB room as they selected Oregon signal caller, Bo Nix with the 12th overall pick in this past weekend’s 2024 NFL Draft.
Denver Broncos 2024 NFL Draft Selections
- Round 1, Pick 12: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
- Round 3, Pick 76: Jonah Elliss, EDGE, Utah
- Round 4, Pick 102: Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon
- Round 5, Pick 145: Kris Abrams-Draine, CB, Missouri
- Round 5, Pick 147: Audric Estime, RB, Notre Dame
- Round 7, Pick 235: Devaughn Vele, WR, Utah
- Round 7, Pick 256: Nick Garguilo, C, South Carolina
While many (perhaps rightfully so) believe the 12th overall selection is a little high for Bo Nix, if the Denver Broncos believe the former Oregon quarterback is their guy, then no pick is too high for a franchise QB. The club pairing Nix with his former top weapon in Troy Franklin was a nice touch as well as adding a potential day one contributor in Notre Dame tailback, Audric Estime.
