Today at training camp, Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen all of a sudden collapsed on the field. He screamed out in pain and threw his helmet out of frustration. A defensive lineman had cut him on his legs and he fell over. He had to be carted off the field and taken in to run tests on his knee. Head coach Todd Bowles did not want to go into detail about the injury. More tests will have to be run on his knee which will determine the severity of the injury. Ohio State’s football stadium also known as, “The Horseshoe,” is turning 100 this year. The stadium was obviously first built in 1922 with the first game being hosted in the stadium later that year. The stadium has seen a lot of crazy and memorable games throughout the years and has seem millions of fans walk through the gates. Ohio State will open its’ season on Sept. 3 against Notre Dame. The game will be broadcast on ESPN as College Gameday will be present that day. The game is set to start at 6:30 with the 2002 national championship team to be honored at halftime. It will be a good first test to see where Ohio State is at for the start of the season. Well, it looks like Tom Brady has added another weapon to his plethora of wide receivers to throw the ball to. Reports have surfaced today that Julio Jones has signed a one year deal with the Buccaneers. Jones signs with the Buccaneers after spending eleven years with the Falcons and Titans. He spent one year with the Titans and before that ten years with the Falcons. Jones was the Falcons career leader with 848 catches and 12,896 yards. It is hopeful that Chris Godwin can make a full recovery and return for week one of the NFL season. Godwin tore his ACL in week fifteen of the 2021 season against the Saints and was out the rest of the year. Godwin is the team’s second leading receiver behind Mike Evans and a reliable target in crunch time. Since 2019, he has averaged 81.9 yards receiving a game ranking fourth in the NFL. Ohio State will have different themes for each game during the 2022 season. All of the eight home games will have a theme this fall. This might be the first time Ohio State has had themes for each home game of the season. Some of the themes involve wearing different colors of clothes for some games. A couple of days ago, former Minnesota Vikings & New York Giants tight end Kyle Rudolph signed a one year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rudolph’s signing with the Buccaneers gives quarterback Tom Brady another experienced tight end to throw the ball to after Rob Gronkowski’s retirement. The only other tight ends on the roster with experience are Cam Brate and Codey McElroy. Brate is another seasoned tight end being in Tampa being with the team since 2014. The 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers schedule is one of the more challenging schedules. They have a tough first month of their regular season schedule. Out of the gate, they will face the Dallas Cowboys, the New Orleans Saints, the Green Bay Packers, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
