The 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers schedule is one of the more challenging schedules. They have a tough first month of their regular season schedule. Out of the gate, they will face the Dallas Cowboys, the New Orleans Saints, the Green Bay Packers, and the Kansas City Chiefs. After that, the next four games get easier as they play the Atlanta Falcons, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Carolina Panthers, and the Baltimore Ravens. The next couple of weeks then prove to be very challenging. The Bucs will face the defending Super Bowl Champion Rams in week nine then against the Seahawks in week ten. The rest of the season is not too challenging with only two more challenging games between the Saints and the Bengals who were the runner ups in the Super Bowl last year.
The Buccaneers schedule ranks fourth in strength of schedule for the regular season. The team with the hardest ranked schedule was the Rams. The biggest game on the schedule is probably the week nine game against the Rams. The Rams are the defending Super Bowl Champions and the Buccaneers lost to them in the Divisional last year. That game will definitely be one to circle on the calendar.
Five Primetime Games!
The biggest challenge for the Buccaneers will either be the game against the Chiefs, the Rams, or the Saints. The Chiefs will present a challenge with Patrick Mahomes and his playmaking ability. The Rams will be tough on offense with the connection between Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. The Saints present a challenge with their defense and their defensive lineman Cam Jordan. The Buccaneers have lost to the Saints in every game in the regular season to the Saints for the last two seasons. It remains to be seen whether they can break that streak in 2022.
The game against the Rams proves to be the biggest challenge of the season
The 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers schedule has five primetime games and all of them will be shown on Sunday night football. The first one will be against the Cowboys then against the Packers and then against the Chiefs. The last two are against the Rams and then the Bengals. This puts the Bucs at the center of attention in the league for a quarter of the season. The Buccaneers have not been shown on Primetime Sunday Night football very often. But, since the arrival of Tom Brady and winning the Super Bowl in 2021, the Bucs have everyone’s attention now. They may also be referred to as the house that Brady built.
