Oregon has been one of the surprise teams in college football the last two years under Dan Lanning, and they are looking to continue their greatness this season when they change conferences and head to the Big Ten.
Bo Nix Saw His NFL Dream Come True
Oregon saw one of the best players in school history, quarterback Bo Nix, see his NFL dream come true on Thursday night when the Denver Broncos selected him 12th overall.
After three years at Auburn, Nix walked onto Oregon’s campus this year. While playing for the Tigers, he looked nothing like an NFL quarterback, but entering the transfer portal was best for him because he turned into an NFL-ready quarterback in Eugene. Now, he could have a long NFL career because of it. The transfer portal works in two ways. Everyone loves it when a player transfers to their school, but at the same time, players also leave, and the Ducks saw that on Friday.
Johnny Bowens Is Heading To The Portal
Hayes Fawcett from On3.com states, “Defensive lineman Johnny Bowens has signed the papers to enter the transfer portal.”

Bowens is from Converse, Texas, and will have four years of eligibility. He redshirted last season and will now be looking for a new home to play the next four years of his college career.
Dan Lanning Is A Winner, And The Oregon Will Be Fine
Anytime a player leaves your school, fans always want to know why, but sometimes it’s just the fit needed to be more suitable for the player, and there’s no bad blood between them and the program. Dan Lanning has been a proven players coach, assuming Bowens didn’t have a role on the upcoming team after seeing where he stood during spring ball.
