The Kansas City Chiefs took a step in the right direction in addressing their need to fill out the wide receiver room with their latest acquisition of Marquise “Hollywood” Brown in free agency.
Brown is coming off a lackluster 2023 campaign with the Arizona Cardinals, as he only recorded 51 receptions for 574 receiving yards and four touchdowns. However, it can be noted that his season was cut short due to injuries.

The Kansas City Chiefs are fresh from successfully defending their Super Bowl and are hoping to pull off a three-peat next season, so the fact that they’ve added someone who can help them has the media buzzing, including Nick Wright of FS1, a huge supporter of the team.
During a recent episode of FS1’s First Things First, Nick Wright explained why the Kansas City Chiefs can pull off a perfect season in 2024.
“It’s always on the board,” said Wright when asked if the Kansas City Chiefs can go 20-0 in 2024. “As long as Mahomes is there and Andy Reid is there, it’s on the board… they are more likely to go 20-0 than they are to not be in the AFC title game, I know that.”
The Kansas City Chiefs are far from done in the open market
Even with the addition of Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiving room still needs a little more strengthening, so they should still be active in finding reinforcements this offseason.
Kansas City could look into Mike Williams or Odell Beckham Jr., among others, since they still have roughly $16 million in cap space, according to Spotrac.

Mike Williams is an intriguing free agent for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Clemson product was an explosive threat for the Los Angeles Chargers when he played, but he has struggled to stay on the field due to injuries, so he was a cap casualty.
Odell Beckham Jr. is another veteran who has been linked with a potential move to Kansas City. In his first season coming back from a torn ACL, the one-time Super Bowl champion had 35 catches for 565 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 14 regular-season games.
