.. It is about that time where preseason award watch lists are starting to be unveiled. Today, it was announced that Kayshon Boutte is on the Maxwell Award watch list heading into the 2022 season. Boutte will look to be the leader in the receiving core once again for the Tigers after he saw limited action during the 2021 season. Boutte’s sophomore season was cut short due to an ankle injury he suffered during the game against Kentucky. July continues to be active on the recruiting trail for LSU as the Tigers pick up their first 2023 OL commit. The Tigers also secured their 12th commitment in 14 days. Paul Mubenga, picked the Tigers out of a top five that also included Michigan, Texas A&M, South Carolina and North Carolina. It was announced Thursday that Kayshon Boutte will be the newest Tiger to don the No. 7 heading into the 2022 season. .It was announced Tuesday that legendary New Orleans Saints wide receiver, will be inducted into the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2022. Colston is one of six standout local sports figures who will be added to the Hall of Fame this year. Each year’s Hall of Fame class is selected by the Greater New Orleans Sports Awards Committee. LSU currently has two other commits for the class of 2024 in Maurice Williams and Xavier Atkins. Joseph Stone, of Loganville, Georgia,  announced his commitment on Monday evening.
