Running Backs are now just going to be played by the committee. From the Monday weekly interviews for the upcoming game. “The plan was to see who could get the hot hand,” Sitake said.
What to Expect from the Cougars
The Offense played amazingly on Saturday and showed that some younger guys are ready to take a bigger role in the Cougar Offense. Jaren Hall had another great showing the offensive line better do a really good job this week on protecting him as BYU usually loses a quarterback or two against the Aggies. The running backs stepped it up with Miles Davis and Lopini Katoa. The wide receivers have seen many younger guys continue to step up in the absence of Puka Nacua and Gunner Romney.
The Defense is starting to find a rhythm. They just need to make those tackles and not stop communicating with each other and they should be fine. Wilgar and Pili need to step it back up and help out the team more when the runner hits the backfield.
Special teams are working out both kickers to see who will continue kicking field goals from here on out.
What to Expect from the Aggies
Coming at 1-3 the Aggies are struggling this season and don’t show any threat to the Cougars.
The Offense put over 400 yards but penalties and failing to convert on third down hurt them. If the BYU defense doesn’t’ make any grave mistakes BYU will come away with the win. Logan Bonner is coming in with 56% completion, 753 yards, six touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Bonner has to keep track of the ball or he will throw more interceptions this week.
The Defense for the Aggies allowed over 300 yards on Saturday. BYU has been putting that up in just passing yards. The Aggies can’t let Jaren Hall get hot or it will be a blowout game.
