Saturday night the BYU Cougars face off against the Baylor Bears in an epic showdown. These big 12 foes will be amped up as they will be the final game of the day on primetime T.V. Baylor is coming off an impressive 59-point win. Everyone got involved for Baylor, as they saw eight different players reach the end zone. The Baylor Bears quarter back Blake Shapen looked sharp completing 85 percent of his passes in the contest. Baylor does things differently at running back where they run a four-back committee. This surprisingly worked great week one, where the Albany defense struggled to game plan for each running back subbing in and out. This certainly sets up for a great match against a stout BYU defense.
BYU is coming into this game off a dominant 29-point victory against USF. The BYU Cougars scored 38 straight points to blow the game wide open. In BYU running back Christopher Brown JR’s debut, he torched the USF football team with 135 yards rushing on only 13 carries. Brown JR will be a key player to watch Saturday night in this contest. Junior Jaren Hall leads BYU at quarter back and is off a game where he completed 78 percent of his passes. Hall looked fantastic and was extremely poised in the pocket. This BYU team has plenty of talent going into this matchup and this season have brought back 19 starters from last season.
BYU Cougars Vs Baylor Bears Spread Betting Lock
BYU is a 2.5-point favorite at home against the Baylor Bears. The Cougars however are without two of their starting wide receivers. Even without Puka Nacua and Gunnar Romney, I still love BYU to win this game. Jaren hall and BYU will be out for revenge after Baylor spanked them last season by two touchdowns. Its very difficult to beat this BYU team at home. Add the revenge factor and expect to see a wound-up BYU team ready for payback. No disrespect to this very talented Baylor Bears team, but BYU had this game circled on their calendar a long time ago. I am backing the BYU Cougars to win this game at -130 odds.
