BYU will be without their two top wide receivers in tomorrow’s game against Baylor due to injuries. Gunner Romney and Puka Nacua are not playing tomorrow night. They both have played significant roles in the BYU offense over the last few years. Romney and Nacua also have been looked at as NFL prospects, so what will the Cougars do without them?
Gunner Romney hasn’t played this season due to an undisclosed injury. Puka Nacua put up two touchdowns and 98 yards with both receiving and running the ball against South Florida. After this, he left the game with a right ankle sprain. Nacua was seen on the sideline with a boot and then after the game Head Coach “Kalani Sitake said keeping Nacua out for the remainder of the game was “precautionary”.
The Cougars tomorrow night will have to rely on their running game. They also will rely on young wide receivers Chase Roberts, Kody Epps, and Keanu Hill. Fans should also expect to see the use of tight ends more with those two out. Mostly they will see Isaac Rex and Dallin Holker playing in the tight end position.
