Fall camp is just a couple of weeks away. To start things off let’s get a look at the offense for the Cougars. With returning talent and some who have played elsewhere but have transferred to BYU. This offense has great potential going into the 2022 season. Quarterbacks Jaren Hall is the clear starter for this season. Hall played great in 2021 after Zach Wilson left for the NFL In 2021 Hall played in 10 games and started in those 10. He threw for 2,583 yards for 20 touchdowns and had 5 interceptions. The Cougars announced today the three non-conference games for the 2023 schedule. BYU will play Sam Houston State, Southern Utah, and Arkansas. These will all be played early in the season. This will mark the first 3 games of BYU being in the Big 12 and playing as a Power 5 school. Sam Houston State The Bearkats come to Provo on September 2nd, 2023 to kickoff the Big 12 Era for BYU. Training camp means that the start of the season is getting closer. At the end of July each year, the teams meet back up and do their practices, meetings, and fan activities before the season ahead.
