The NFL’s greatest quarterback rivalry of all time is not being taken off the field. While there is a great chance that both legends Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will end up becoming owners in the NFL one day, it is being reported that they are in competition.
While Brady has been trying to become a part owner for some time, now one NFL insider is reporting that the two legendary quarterbacks are actually in competition to become owners.
Tom Brady Vs. Peyton Manning: Who Will Become An Owner First?
Both the two legends were recently scene together at the viral Netflix Tom Brady Roast, and following the event, one NFL insider said that the two men are in an unspoken competition to become owner.
Per ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, both Brady and Manning are trying to become owners in the league, and there is a competition between them of who can become an owner first.
“Even though he won’t admit it, he’s in competition with Peyton Manning to see who can make the most money off the field to buy a team first,” Florio said. “And I think Manning is far ahead of the game. This Omaha Productions thing is a freaking gold mine.”
Tom Brady Set To Become League Owner Soon
While it is certainly not surprising that Manning is trying to become an owner, he has kept it under the wraps for quite some time. Brady on the other hand, has been trying to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders for quite some time now.
Brady’s push to become an owner is currently on hold until the next owner meetings which are set for May 22 and the 22nd of this month. While there is a chance that he gets the ok then, it is more likely that his bid for ownership gets delayed once more until the next meetings.
Brady has been rumored to wanting to make a full push to buy an NFL team if it keeps getting delayed. It seems that both Brady and Manning are intent on being the majority owners eventually, but Brady may already push for that if his bid gets delayed further.
Both men need to add to their net worth to become majority owners in the league, and that sexactly what both men have been doing.
It will be almost as entertaining as watching these two men on the field as it will be to see who can become an owner first.
