College Football is 33 days away and as fall camp starts on August third for the Cougars. This running back room for this season is going to be big for the offense. With some new faces in this group, let’s see what they can do for the Cougars on offense this season. The Saints started camp this week and have practiced Wednesday, Thursday, and Today. Taysom Hill switched from Quarterback to Tight End this season. On Wednesday he had a great day and was seen catching passes from various quarterbacks. He was also seen working with the starters on offense. This is after he rehabbed a foot injury from last season after undergoing foot surgery after the conclusion of the 2021 season. BYU is coming off another great season. Many of their players in the last few days have been named to a watchlist of many awards for this upcoming season. Coach of the Year Bobby Dodd Head Coach Kalani Sitake has been named to the Bobby Dodd Coach of the year award list. On July 12th they released the list of 20 coaches. This list included coaches from all power 5 conferences, AAC, and an independent team. The award is given to coaches who get results on the field but also in the classroom and in the community. In 2018 BYU football announced a series with NC State in 2024 in Raleigh and 2030 in Provo Utah. They had one scheduled for November and the other for August. Dates were still to come for those games against the Wolfpack. In 2024 this will be the first time these two teams meet on the field. With BYU moving to the Big 12 in 2023 many more games will have to come off future schedules in order to make room for the conference schedule BYU now has to play.
