The San Francisco 49ers, who made their first Super Bowl appearance with quarterback Brock Purdy under center were not able to finish the job.  Losing to the Kansas City Chiefs on the last play of overtime with a score of 25-22. Purdy threw for 255 yards, 1 touchdown and zero interceptions in his first ever Super Bowl, but his play was not enough to defeat 3-time champion Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.  Kansas City has now won two Super Bowls in a row and will have an opportunity to “three-peat” next season. After trading the number one pick in last year’s draft to the Carolina Panthers, the Chicago Bears will be on the clock first during the 2024 NFL Draft.  The Bears are in a quarterback situation involving Justin Fields, who has been the starting quarterback for Chicago since being selected 11th overall in 2021 or turning to the draft and starting over. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will clash in Super Bowl 58 for the NFL season finale at Allegiant Stadium.  This will be a rematch of Super Bowl 54, where the Chiefs were able to take home the Lombardi trophy with a score of 31-20. The Minnesota Vikings, who finished the season with a 7-10 record dealt with multiple injuries on the offensive side of the ball.  None more important than Kirk Cousins, who tore his Achilles during the middle of the year and was required to have season-ending surgery. The New York Giants, who finished the season with a 6-11 record dealt with multiple key injuries on both sides of the ball.  One of those injuries was to starting quarterback Daniel Jones, who tore his ACL in Week 9 versus the Las Vegas Raiders.
