The Tennessee Titans have been on the lookout for a new head coach after firing their former coach Mike Vrabel. Vrabel has been on the look for another job and has interviewed with the Los Angeles Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons so far, but has not signed with a team just yet. However, his old team has decided to sign their next head coach as of today, and Titans fans are not going to be happy with the result.

Tennessee Titans Sign New Head Coach
The Titans are signing former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan to be their next head coach. Callahan had his second interview with Tennessee today, and the team did not let him leave without a new contract. Callahan has been viewed as a “good candidate” amongst NFL analysts, however, many fans think that he will not have success as a head coach, as he had struggles with the Bengals this season.
NFL Fans React
Many Titans fans are calling this signing a “downgrade” from Vrabel, and that the organization does not have the best interests of fans because of the hire. Bengals fans are also criticizing Callahan for the offensive struggles the team had this year, even with the injury to quarterback Joe Burrow.

While most Titans fans are not happy with the decision to hire Callahan, some are trying to stay optimistic and saying that everyone needs to wait and see what he can do with the young Titans team. Callahan had his fourteenth season in 2023 as a coach in the NFL and his fifth with the Bengals. He helped the team go to a Super Bowl and two AFC championships in a row, making him a strong candidate for a head coach.
Will Callahan Find Success?
However, Cincinnati had one of their worst offensive years in a long time this season, and Callahan received a lot of criticism for it. Regardless, he will now serve his first term as an NFL head coach in 2024 and will look to prove the doubters wrong. Do you think Callahan will find success in his first year as the head coach for the Titans, or will he be on the hot seat next season?
