The Cincinnati Bengals have been far from quiet so far in the NFL free agency period. Tee Higgins has been reported to be asking for a trade out of the team, and they traded away Joe Mixon earlier on Tuesday. Now there are rumblings that the team may make a huge move to bring in one of the best receivers in the game after a cryptic post from star receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
Can The Cincinnati Bengals Have A LSU Reunion
There have been many rumors going around the NFL world that Justin Jefferson may try to force a trade out of Minnesota. The team lost Kirk Cousins this free agency, and they should be in a big rebuild for the next few seasons. That may not be something that Jefferson wants to stick around for and he could ask to be traded out from the team.
On Tuesday Ja’Marr Shared a cryptic post that has many fans believing that Chase is hinting to the Bengals perhaps going after Justin Jefferson to complete the LSU reunion in Cincinnati. Chase Poured more fuel on the fire posting:
“this will be a krazy story to tell,” Chase wrote. His post has gone viral with nearly 10,000 likes and over 1,400 retweets in the past four hours.
Pairing the both of those elite receivers with Joe Burrow, would be one of the scariest things in NFL history for other teams. But that would certainly destroy their cap if they had to pay all three of them the big money.
NFL Fans Lose Their Minds Over Ja’Marr Chase Post
Fans have been quick to say that the Cincinnati Bengals receiver is trying to make the LSU reunion happen. While it is unlikely as the team would not necessarily have the money and cap space to make it work, that does not stop fans from dreaming a little. Here are some of the best fan reactions to the viral post by Chase:
“I choose to believe that this is about Justin Jefferson, until I hear otherwise,” one user replied.
“Justin Jefferson to Cincinnati confirmed,” another declared.
“Jetta and Chase on the same team is going to be fun, OMG PLZ IM MANIFESTING THIS,” a third user wrote.
Jefferson, Chase, and quarterback Joe Burrow were the core of the 2019 LSU Tigers who were thought of as one of if not the greatest college football team of all time. They went 15-0 in route to a national title and sent many elite stars to the NFL. If they can miraculously create this reunion, it would be one of the craziest offensive cores the NFL has ever seen.
