On Monday morning, star wide receiver Tee Higgins requested a trade from the Bengals. The Bengals applied the franchise tag to Higgins early in the offseason, and there was plenty of buzz during the NFL Combine that the Bengals applied the franchise tag to Higgins early so they could trade him.
Jox Mixon will not return with Cincinnati for the 2024 season
With a skilled wide receiver in question, the Bengals lost a member of the backfield. Per Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Bengals are releasing Joe Mixon.

The Cincinnati Bengals have a replacement set
The 27-year-old running back earned a Pro Bowl appearance for the 2021 season. The Bengals 2017 second-round pick has 6,412 yards rushing, 2,139 receiving, and 62 total touchdowns in his NFL career.
The Bengals are set to sign Zack Moss to replace Mixon as RB1 for the 2024 season.
