It is a good day for the Michigan Wolverines on the recruiting trail. After RB Jordan Marshall announced his commitment to the program, another prospect from the state of Ohio followed suit. OT Ben Roebuck has committed to the Wolverines after visiting this past weekend.

Michigan Wolverines Ben Roebuck
Roebuck is a 6-foot-7, 320-pound recruit out of Lakewood, Ohio. He is yet another Ohio-based recruit to commit to Michigan. The Wolverines have made a name for themselves on the offensive line. Their line has been the best in the nation two years in a row and Jim Harbaugh and his staff are looking to continue that dominance. Roebuck was part of a group that came to Ann Arbor on an unofficial visit this weekend and it must have gone well. He is the second recruit from that visit to commit in the past 24 hours. Could there be more on the horizon?
Stealing From Ohio State
What makes this even sweeter is the fact that he chose Michigan over Ohio State (among other high-profile programs). His quote about his choice makes it even sweeter. “I was an OSU fan growing up, but then I grew up and realized that Michigan was the place to be,” Roebuck said. This has to put a smile on the face of Michigan fans. Not only have they dominated the Buckeyes on the field, but now they are dominating in the recruiting realm.
Recruiting is often a snowball effect. Once one recruit commits, others often join. The Michigan Wolverines are seeing this after hosting multiple recruits last weekend. They got a lot of crystal balls and now those are turning into commitments to the program. Michigan has returned to be a contender every year and recruiting classes like this one will set them up for the future.
