What The Los Angeles Chargers Do From Here
Many fans of other teams are even happy for the Chargers as Staley has been one of if not the most hated head coaches in recent memory. He will finish his head coaching career with a 24-24 record and one playoff appearance after three seasons with the team. Where he ends up next is a mystery, but many fans and analysts believe he will not be a head coach ever again.
While Los Angeles is 5-9 and will likely miss the postseason this year, this could be a huge step in creating the success the team has been said to be capable of. For now, it looks like offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will take over as the interim head coach, but nothing has been officially set in stone for who will assume head coaching duties. There are a couple of candidates that have been rumored to be interested in the job like Bill Belichick and Jim Harbaugh, so it will be interesting who the team decides to pick up.
