The Jacksonville Jaguars released their starting safety, Rayshawn Jenkins, this offseason. They plan on replacing Jenkins with Antonio Johnson despite signing Darnell Savage. The Jaguars plan on playing Savage in the slot, even though he has played at safety the most in his career.
Their safety depth outside of Johnson, Andre Cisco, and Andrew Wingard is inexperienced and hasn’t played much on defense but plays more on special teams.
The Jaguars addressed their depth after the draft by signing a former 1st round pick.
