The Kansas City Chiefs are back-to-back Super Bowl Champions thanks in large part to the play of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and perennial Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce. The pair now have won three Super Bowls together and are the basis for a dominating Chiefs offense.
While Mahomes and Kelce are both well-known for their prowess on the field, the future Hall of Fame tight end has seen his popularity skyrocket since his relationship with popstar Taylor Swift became public last September. A few songs on her latest album, Tortured Poets Department, are dedicated to him and make numerous references to their relationship.

Does One Lyric in Taylor Swift’s Album Mock Kansas City Chiefs Star Travis Kelce’s Intelligence?
One of the songs on Swift’s new album is called “So High School,” and it includes numerous references to Kelce and his status as a famous football player.
One of the lines of that particular song reads “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” a reference to the famed ancient Greek philosopher who was the private tutor of Alexander the Great.
Some fans took this line as a shot at Kelce’s intelligence. After all, he puts on the public image as an individual who likes to party and seemingly embraces the “dumb jock” label.
According to Kelce’s quarterback, however, the nine-time Pro Bowl tight end is a great deal smarter than people give him credit for.
Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Praises Travis Kelce’s Intelligence
In a recent Logan Paul podcast appearance (linked above), Mahomes was asked about Kelce and the labels the general public puts on him. Mahomes said of Kelce, “He puts on this persona, I’m partying, drinking, whatever, but he’s really super intelligent.”.
Mahomes did admit, however, that he has trouble keeping up with both Travis and Jason Kelce when they all go out: “I used to, I think, and then I had kids,” he said. Mahomes has two children with his wife Brittney, three-year old daughter Sterling and one-year old son Bronze.
The three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback also revealed that the elder Kelce brother, Jason, doesn’t go as hard as he used to: “Jason has kids too, so he has to pick and choose, but when he chooses, he can go.”
In regards to Travis, it is worth noting that the former Cincinnati Bearcat completed his college degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2022.
“A degree in interdisciplinary studies is a degree that allows the student to focus simultaneously on several majors rather than the typical, singular major. Arranging to take this degree route requires working with the college to design an appropriate and fully accredited course schedule. This route is most usually taken by students that have a specific, multi-pronged vocation in mind that requires knowledge in several disciplines.”
Based on this description, perhaps everyone is really is underestimating Kelce’s intelligence.
