Hi! I'm a recent college graduate from Southwestern University where I played college golf for 4 years. I have been a sports fanatic since I was little and have a passion for sports blogging. I'm a huge Pittsburgh Sports fan...Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers! HERE WE GO!

The Steelers problems were on full display last night against the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers lost what was probably a must-win divisional game in Cleveland 29-17. Usually games this early in the season don’t feel like “must wins”, but take a look at Pittsburgh’s upcoming schedule. The Steelers play the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, and New Orleans Saints all in a seven week window. This could easily end in the Steelers winning one or maybe two if they’re lucky. Steelers Issues There are many issues with this Steelers team. It’s easy for everyone to point…

It’s been 24 years since the Steelers and Patriots played each other without featuring QB Ben Roethlisberger or Tom Brady. Brady got the best of Roethlisberger in head-to-head matchups. In the 12 games the two hall of fame QBs played each other in, Brady went 9-3. Week Two: Patriots @ Steelers Preview The week two matchup between New England and Pittsburgh will feature two new faces in QB Mac Jones and QB Mitchell Trubisky. In week one, Steelers QB Trubisky did just enough for Pittsburgh to secure a wild victory. His stat line was 21-38 for 194 yards and a…

We are approaching week two of the fresh college football season and there are many marquee matchups to watch. After going 4-1 in in my five locks last week, I have another five college football week two best bets! #1 Alabama visits unranked Texas as a 20 point favorite on the road. #9 Baylor visits #21 BYU as a surprising three point underdog. Another big matchup is between #24 Tennessee and #17 Pitt, when they square off in the 2022 Johnny Majors Classic. Tennessee will look to avenge last year’s loss to Pitt when the Volunteers were beaten 24-41 in…

We saw numerous college football week one surprises. Now that week one is finally complete, its time for us to overreact to everything we saw (or maybe didn’t see). Georgia unleashes on Oregon #3 Georgia dominated #11 Oregon in their season opener 49-3. UGA scored a TD on their first 7 drives and didn’t need to do much defensively to secure the win. The Bulldogs only allowed three points to Oregon, while giving up just 4.6 yards per play. I’m not sure if this was surprising considering how good Georgia is, but to beat Oregon by 46 is pretty impressive…

Major changes are on the way for the College Football Playoff. Friday, the College Football Playoff Board of Managers voted in favor of expanding the CFP from four teams to 12. The CFP committee which is comprised of the 10 FBS commissioners will continue to oversee the expansion process. The board’s vote was a large step towards implementing a format that was initially proposed in 2021. The expansion to a 12 team playoff could take place as soon as 2024. The terms of the proposal include granting automatic bids to the six conference champions. In addition, the format will allow…

Wow. Where do you start in recapping the brawl that took place between West Virginia and #17 Pitt at Acrisure Stadium (Heinz Field)? To begin, the backyard brawl broke the Pittsburgh sports attendance record for Heinz Field (70,622)…the stage was set for a memorable night. Former Pitt QB Kenny Pickett was in attendance along with many other notable players. Game Recap: In simple terms, it was a complete tale of two halves. The first half was a feeling out process for each offense. Each team only produced 10 points and it looked like it was going to be a low-scoring,…

Pitt QB Kedon Slovis, who transferred from USC, had some words for WVU at Pittsburgh’s pep rally prior to Thursday’s “Backyard Brawl”. Slovis yelled “F*** West Virginia” while trying to get the fans pumped up ahead of the season opener. https://twitter.com/BarstoolBurgh/status/1564971561974726657?s=20&t=lXIUSP1IEBZiq_zcZLnxpA #17 Pitt is currently a touchdown favorite over WVU and the Over/Under is set at (51). WVU is (+235) on the money line, while Pitt is (-292). What may be most surprising of all headlines leading up to Thursday’s game is fan attendance for each team. ESPN fan forecast shows that 75% of fans at Heinz Field will be…

College Football is finally here and people are foaming at the mouth to finally be able to bet on football again. There are some great matchups in the opening weekend. #2 Ohio State hosts #5 Notre Dame. #11 Oregon plays #3 Georgia on the road as well. What’s crazy about these matchups is that both favorites are favored by 17 points. Ohio State and Georgia are both (-17) in games that feel like they should be relatively close. So, what’re some of the best bets heading into week one of the college football season? Here are my top 5 plays…

Notre Dame football is back in less than a week and the fighting Irish will have to be at their best @ #2 Ohio State. Notre Dame is currently ranked 5th in the nation according to preseason poll. Following a 11-2 season which included a loss to Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, Notre Dame will look to get off to a fast start to the 2022 season, despite being a huge underdog in week one. Recently, Notre Dame HC Marcus Freeman was asked about being a 3 possession underdog to Ohio State. Here was his response…”I didn’t know that.…

The Houston Texans may have found themselves a star in RB Dameon Pierce. Pierce was drafted in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL draft. He played four seasons with Florida where he ran for over 1800 yards and totaled 23 rushing TDS as a Gator. He also had over 400 yards receiving and five receiving TDS. Pierce was by far the most impressive back for the Texans during their three preseason games (Saints, Rams, 49ers). Not only did he do enough to make the Texans roster, he may have done enough to become Houston’s number one back. He was the…
