The season is getting ready to start in a few weeks. I previously did a ranking on the AFC North running backs. You can find that article here. I wanted to go over the receivers, the division has a lot of talent at the position. Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals AFC North Rank: 1 A lot of people were concerned when the Bengals selected Chase no. 5 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Rightfully, a lot of experts expected them to select an offensive linemen to help protect Joe Burrow. The Bengals, looking back on it made the right move. They…

As usual during training camp and preseason games, players get bumps and bruises after an extended time off. A few guys for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cam Heyward and Calvin Austin who have yet to play in preseason play are healthy. Heyward is a star and one of the best players on the team, preseason reps are not exactly necessary. Cam Heyward Heyward was sidelined with an ankle injury prior to week two against the Jaguars. The injury did not seem to be anything of concern. At this stage of Cam’s career and his importance to the team its best to…

The Steelers having some uncertainty at the inside linebacker position. With Devin Bush not looking like the same player he was his rookie season. Robert Spillane is a very limited guy who is an absolute liability in pass coverage. Who can be the guy behind Myles Jack, who has looked great this preseason. He is exactly who we thought he was, and he needs a respectable running mate. Could Mark Robinson emerge as the guy if Bush does not work out? Mark Robinson Performance Although Mark Robinson has looked great in training camp and preseason he has a lot of…

Kendrick Green was thrown to the wolves in his rookie season in 2021. He was a later round draft pick who had a track record of being able to play the center and guard position. The guard position being his natural position. The Steelers after losing Maurkice Pouncey, thrusted Kendrick Green into the center spot. After a rough rookie season and the addition of Mason Cole he is now in a competition battle for the guard spot with Kevin Dotson.  Kevin Green Preseason Performance So far in the 2022 NFL preseason Kendrick Green has had a rough performance. A lot of fans and members of the media think Mason Rudolph should and will be traded. Since the situation in 2019 against the Browns where a brawl broke out and Mason being in the thick of it. Mason has not been a fan favorite. To add to that, his shaky play at times and lack of Steelers success led to him being benched at one point for undrafted free agent signing Duck Hodges. The big question right now is should Mason be traded. What’s The Verdict? The answer from me is NO. Mason Rudolph brings value to the Steelers…

Kenny Pickett has kicked his rookie season off with some impressive play. In 2 preseason games he has put skepticism over his early training camp play to rest. The Steelers used a very coveted first round pick on him with a lot of other needs around the team. Preseason Grade NFL.com Chad Reuter did an article where he was grading top rookies performance thus far. He gave Kenny a grade of A. Kenny came into camp struggling, he had a hard time making the big throws and his accuracy was a little off. This is something to be expected, he’s a…

The Pittsburgh Steelers added another piece to the offensive line carousel. Adrian Ealy who was an undrafted free agent spent most of his time bouncing on and off the Ravens Practice squad. He spent time on Baltimore, Denver, Rams and Green Bay practice squads last season. This signing is not a significant move to help bolster a struggling offensive line. This move is more of a depth piece and to add some competition at the position. The Steelers could have a really big problem on their hands with the shaky play of the linemen. Reports came out of camp of struggles…

The Pittsburgh Steelers added Damontae Kazee during the off-season to add depth at the safety position. So far it has been a great move by the Steelers with Kazee’s preseason production. He led the league in interceptions in 2018 and also forced 1 tumble and had 10 pass breakups. Adding another guy to the team who can disrupt at all levels definitely does not hurt. Kazee Career Drafted 149th overall in 2017 by the Atlanta Falcons, Kazee had a quiet rookie campaign. His second year jumps off the page as it was a career year for him. He had 82…

Myles Jack is the steal of the 2022 free agency. He has come on big time for the Steelers in 2 preseason games. Jack is a young guy who has proven for years on a bad team that he can be the guy in the middle. With uncertainty with Devin Bush and Jack turning 27 this year the contract numbers are a bargain. Myles Jack Contract Jack is on a 2 year $16 million dollar deal for the Steelers. Jack has surpassed 100 tackles 3 times in his career and has been a disrupter in the run and pass game.…

The Steelers went head to head with the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday. One of the biggest takeaways was the Steelers Offensive line. The Jaguars are a much more difficult task to go against than the Seahawks and it showed. Steelers Offensive Line Struggles Say what you want about the Jaguars, but the team has a lot of talent on it. They have good depth at the defensive line and a lot of high draft picks across the defense. A lot of people took the Steelers performance against Seattle lightly due to their lack of talent and depth. The real test came…
