If you watched any of the Steelers from preseason until now this is all you hear, KENNY! Fans have been booing every Steelers Quarterback and chanting for Kenny Pickett. With recent struggles on the offense and a lackluster performance from Mitch Trubisky in back to back weeks let’s break down if its time. Is Kenny Pickett ready to be QB1 The hype has been around the hometown kid since day one of being drafted. The Steelers mentioned it was going to be a open QB battle. However from day one Mitch was named a starter. There was little reason to…

This is the second part of my season long journey managing an All Steelers fantasy team. As to be expected I struggled big time as did the Steelers offense as a whole this week. Tough week in Pittsburgh for the team and for my fantasy team. Let’s dive into the performance! QB Mitch Trubisky – Mitch Trubisky looks very basic and not the answer for the Steelers future. He would pass for 168 pass yards 1 touchdown 1 interception. He’d end the day with only 12.42 fantasy points which is right in line with his production last week. All I…

Tj Watt is expected to miss at least the next four weeks with a pectoral injury. He is more likely to return in 6-7 weeks from the time of injury. It was already a tall order to help sustain pressure with his absence. The Pittsburgh Steelers were not able to get consistent pressure on Mac Joes. This allowed him to make plays in key moments that kept the defense on the field. With that being said lets dive into the pass rushers performance in week two against the Patriots. Pass Rush Performance Without Tj Watt Looking back in week one…

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the New England Patriots 17-14 in their week two home opener. This leads to a lot of questions surrounding the Steelers offense and Mitch Trubisky. How much of the offensive output is on Mitch and how much is on Matt Canada? Let’s dive into it. Mitch Trubisky Performance Mitch Trubisky against the Patriots went 21/33, 168 yards and 1 touchdown 1 interception. Not a terrible stat line considering how it looked. Overall the offense yet again looked very stale not very exciting. It was about halftime I said to myself “This game is boring”. At…

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a tough matchup this week against the New England Patriots. This game will be the season opener in Acrisure Stadium. Let’s look at my weekly preview and key matchups. Steelers D-line Vs Patriots O-line The Steelers started the season out with a bang. Their defensive line was dominant last week and they were flying all over getting after Joe Burrow. They would produce 7 sacks and even more impact in constant pressure and making stops for loss. With that being said the Patriots offensive line performed pretty poorly against the Dolphins. The Dolphins were able to…

Alex Highsmith is a third year player out of Charlotte. He was drafted in the third round of the 2020 draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was drafted with intentions to eventually be the starter once guys like Bud Dupree have moved on. That is exactly where he is now. Alex has been a very productive player since entering the league and its no surprise he started 2022 off with a bang. Let’s break down his play in week one against the Bengals. Alex Highsmith Week One Performance Highsmith was a man amongst boys out there. He ended the day…

The Pittsburgh Steelers were expected to make a move to add depth a the OLB position. It appears Tj Watt will be headed to IR and miss “About 6 weeks” per multiple sources. Multiple reports say they have signed David Anenih. David Anenih Yet another undrafted free agent rookie headed to the Steelers. Anenih played 116 snaps for the Titans this past preseason and was pretty productive. A lot of writers who cover the Titans believed with the absence of Landry that Anenih would make the 53-man roster. The Titans claimed Derek Tuszka, who the Steelers recently released. Moving on…

With the unfortunate injury to star linebacker Tj Watt there is a need for depth at the position. Too much speculation on the situation at this time to fully comment on. We will have to wait and see how today unfolds with him seeking additional medical opinions. With that being said there is a new face working out with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh Steelers to workout Ryan Anderson Anderson was a second round pick by the Washington Commanders in the 2017 draft. He would later be signed by the New York Giants where he was suspended for violating the performance…

The Pittsburgh Steelers won their week one matchup against the Bengals 23-20 in an overtime thriller. It was also our first taste of Mitch Trubisky running the offense. It was a lackluster performance but let’s dig into it a little bit. Is Mitch Trubisky the answer? I will get this out of the way now. Mitch Trubisky looked lousy, plain and simple. I don’t want to be one of those people who jumps the gun and is screaming for Kenny just yet but, Mitch needs to do better. The offensive line could have been better but it looked better than it…

You may or may not know this but I started an All Steelers fantasy team. I released this on my social media to test the waters. Most people loved it, respected it and understood the joke. There were however, a few trolls online who said it was stupid and pointless. Well, I did it anyways and as requested by many here is my overview of how the team performed this week. Overview My team in week one did not do so hot. This is due to a lack of offensive production in general. The team could not consistently move the…
