For five AFC teams, Week 18’s NFL playoff scenarios are the only hope of winning a Super Bowl this season. The Miami Dolphins are already in but must wrap up the AFC East. Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens (#1), Kansas City Chiefs (#3), and Cleveland Browns (#5) are locked into their spots. This weekend is the best part of football season. When NFL playoff scenarios have teams desperate and watching the scoreboard. Here is how the six AFC franchises not locked into a spot can secure their postseason seed, assuming that they aren’t sent packing into a long offseason. NFL Playoff…

Dan Orlovsky works for ESPN right now, a company under Disney’s domain. Disney is very protective of their image, taking no chances at jeopardizing their massively profitable standings. With that being said, Orlovsky’s tweet during Thursday Night Football may bring the wrong type of attention toward himself and the company. He referenced an old tweet of his to describe Browns quarterback Joe Flacco’s behavior, and it amassed attention very quickly. https://twitter.com/danorlovsky7/status/1740560383130378330 In three hours, Dan Orlovsky received almost 45,000 likes on the social media post. Most replies were laughing along with the former quarterback and his comparison. A few were…

The Pop-Tarts Bowl began with the mascot emerging from a toaster, flanked by pyrotechnics and playing to the crowd like Shawn Michaels. After a Kansas State victory, it ended with the mascot getting eaten by the victorious Wildcats. In between, there was a Pop-Tart cam, fraternization with the referees, and the Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot running for its life immediately after the game. It was a wild ride. Tonight was special. #PopTartsBowl  There are people out there who will try to tell…

It was announced that the Pop-Tarts Bowl mascot was going to be edible months ago, and an edible mascot was delivered. As with the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, the winner of this contest would have the pleasure of a trophy presentation that included the promoted food brand. The Kansas State Wildcats took it home, using a late offensive touchdown and an interception to seal the deal. Thus, the spoils were theirs. So, a mascot that spent most of the night putting on a show was now to be consumed. Hours of memories and built relationships destined to die at the hands…

The Baltimore Ravens playoff return is seemingly inevitable, with this week providing the first opportunity for them to clinch a spot. Last year’s team limped into January, something that this season’s edition is trying to avoid. With good health comes an excellent shot at nabbing the AFC’s top seed too, a position they currently occupy alone. This Baltimore Ravens playoff path has a key Sunday Night Football battle in Jacksonville this week, but here are other games they’ll need to keep an eye on: Vikings @ Bengals Steelers @ Colts Broncos @ Lions Bears @ Browns Texans @ Titans Jets…

The Detroit Lions playoff experience is sparse in the 21st century, but another chapter is headed to the Motor City soon. Even after losing last week, a few doors opened up for the 9-4 team to earn their first postseason trip since the 2016 season. Unlike some of the other teams in action this weekend, the Detroit Lions playoff dreams will need some help to happen. The Lions take on the Broncos on Saturday night, but here are the other games that matter to them: Buccaneers @ Packers Vikings @ Bengals Falcons @ Panthers Commanders @ Rams Eagles @ Seahawks Giants…

Last week presented the first Dallas Cowboys playoff-clinching scenarios, but the team didn’t meet the criteria despite a massive win. At 10-3, they’re in a fortunate position to get multiple easy cracks at a postseason appearance. With the way things are shaking up, the NFC’s top spot is up for grabs too. Before thinking too far ahead, here’s how Dallas can punch their playoff ticket, starting with a look at the important games (besides Cowboys vs. Bills): Buccaneers @ Packers Vikings @ Bengals Broncos @ Lions Falcons @ Panthers Commanders @ Rams 49ers @ Cardinals Eagles @ Seahawks The 14 Unique…

An unreal 10-1 start informally secured a Philadelphia Eagles playoff berth this season. However, they haven’t yet sealed the deal after having their first opportunity in Week 14. A pair of (embarrassing) losses has the Eagles in a wild-card spot after holding the NFC’s #1 seed for most of the year. While the team wants to reclaim the top spot, joining the dance is first up. Key games to watch for, besides Eagles vs. Seahawks, are: Buccaneers @ Packers Vikings @ Bengals Broncos @ Lions Falcons @ Panthers Commanders @ Rams 49ers @ Cardinals Scenarios for a Philadelphia Eagles Playoff…

The San Francisco 49ers did not play on Monday night, but things worked out in their favor. They needed the Green Bay Packers to fall in MetLife Stadium against the New York Giants to return to the postseason. Their wishes came true when Tommy DeVito led Big Blue down the field for a game-winning field goal as time expired. San Francisco has their eyes on another Lombardi Trophy, and the first step is out of the way. https://twitter.com/NFL/status/1734429330535755903 The San Francisco 49ers Are Not Satisfied Yet While clinching a playoff spot is the logical first step toward the 49ers winning…

In the preseason, Tommy DeVito was just a fun story about a local kid suiting up for the New York Giants. He had played well enough to earn a roster spot, but most assumed he was destined for nothing more than a short career as a reserve. People would reminisce about the guy who lived with his parents and got a shot with Big Blue. Two injuries, two wins, and one nickname later, DeVito is a sensation that won’t be forgotten anytime soon. Especially not when the ABC/ESPN cameras hit him on Monday Night Football. During New York’s Wee 13…
