When the Jacksonville Jaguars watched Trevor Lawrence go down on Monday night, things were bleak enough. His ankle did not appear to be in good shape, and he did not return in the eventual loss. Now, it has been revealed that CJ Beathard has a shoulder injury on his non-throwing arm, one he suffered on Monday night. He was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice. Those are the only two quarterbacks on Jacksonville’s depth chart right now. Before turning to Nathan Rourke (who is on the practice squad), Trevor Lawrence hasn’t been ruled out yet. He did not practice on…

Entering an important Week 14 clash, the Houston Texans are thin at the safety position. Currently, the team has three safeties on the injured reserve. That left DeAndre Houston-Carson, Jalen Pitre, and Jimmie Ward as the only healthy safeties available. The Texans signed nine-year safety Adrian Amos to the roster on Wednesday afternoon for those reasons. Amos played in 11 games with the New York Jets this season, including three starts. He gets to make them pay for releasing him immediately, as that’s who Houston faces on Sunday. Amos has 23 tackles and one pass defended in 2023, his first…

For those unaware, star pass rusher Von Miller has been battling off-the-field issues stemming from a late November arrest warrant. The Buffalo Bills defensive captain turned himself in and was released later that same day. While the investigation gets sorted out, many were left wondering if Miller would miss any playing time. On Wednesday morning, Bills GM Brandon Beane provided an answer. Von Miller should be available on Sunday, as there’s no expectation that he’ll be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. Beane added that he’s spoken with the league, so he doesn’t expect anything to change before this weekend’s…

When Trevor Lawrence went down on Monday night, the Jacksonville Jaguars star looked like he wouldn’t see the field again soon. The 2021 #1 overall pick couldn’t put weight on his foot as he entered the locker room. Head coach Doug Pederson addressed the media on Tuesday concerning the quarterback’s health, and his words were a bit surprising. The high ankle sprain part wasn’t, but the fact that Jacksonville has not ruled out Trevor Lawrence for this week’s game was. That’s right, Trevor Lawrence is officially listed as questionable as of Tuesday afternoon. There’s still a chance that he suits…

Health has been a major reason the New York Giants are only 4-8 this season, especially regarding the quarterback position. Starting ($160 million man) QB Daniel Jones battled a neck injury before a knee injury ended his 2023 campaign. Jones’ backup, Tyrod Taylor, went down after injuring his ribs against the Jets. While Jones won’t be back, Taylor is nearing a return to the roster, as he was designated to return off injured reserve on Monday morning, per Ian Rapoport. Touted as one of the better backup QBs in the NFL, Taylor was initially supposed to be premium insurance in…

For those unaware, Jabrill Peppers made some private comments after New England’s Week 12 loss that were made public. Those words were not complimentary toward his team or organization, which is having a rough season. After the video of this incident spread like wildfire, Peppers apologized for what he said when speaking with the media on Friday. Take a look below: https://twitter.com/RealAlexBarth/status/1730660141911908624 However, outside of issuing an apology for having this become a locker-room distraction, Jabrill Peppers had other things to add. He had this to say about the state of the team: “At the end of the day, we’re…

2023 has been a strong year for the Miami Dolphins, who have weaponized speed to race out to an 8-3 record. Half of those games (and wins) have come without arguably the fastest player on the roster. Well, breakout running back De’Von Achane will be back on Sunday afternoon to face the Commanders. It’ll be his sixth game of the season. Running back health has been an issue for Miami all season. Along with Achane missing six of their 11 games, Jeff Wilson Jr. had an IR stint, Chris Brooks is currently on the IR, and Raheem Mostert has been…

Jabrill Peppers doesn’t think highly of his current team. At least, that’s what he’s left the world to believe when talking to former teammate Saquon Barkley last Sunday. Following the New England Patriots’ embarrassing 10-7 defeat, Peppers appeared to tell the star running back “You lucky we ass.” Watch the interaction below: https://twitter.com/BabzOnTheMic/status/1730283256719773891 Now, he’s not wrong, as this miserable 2023 campaign has the Patriots lined up for the third overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Losing to a bruised and battered Giants team that has been just as bad this year, thanks to a missed 35-yard field goal…

Jason Kelce and the Philadelphia Eagles overcame the Buffalo Bills in overtime this past Sunday, and tensions were high throughout the matchup. Off the field, Bills defensive player Shaq Lawson got into an altercation with a fan. On the field, his teammate, Jordan Phillips, was trying to injure Eagles guard Cam Jurgens according to Kelce. Speaking to Philadelphia radio Station WIP, Kelce said that during a Brotherly Shove play, Phillips did something that “shouldn’t be allowed.” Jason Kelce also added “I said so to the official on the field. I said, ‘Listen I’ve been running that play a lot of…

Although the Houston Texans are having a great, expectations-defying season, they’re still prone to taking blows. Last Sunday’s 24-21 loss to the rival Jacksonville Jaguars was rough enough, but out of it also came a significant injury. Starting lineman Tytus Howard had to be carted off due to a knee injury. Now, it’s being reported that he will have season-ending surgery to repair it. Howard’s season will only end after seven games played, all starts. He began the 2023 season with a broken hand, costing him the first four games of the season. The Houston Texans had Howard starting at…
