When the Green Bay Packers visited AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon, it was clear before halftime that the Cowboys were in for a long day. The Packers raced out to a 27-0 lead before halftime, leaving many fans in various states of shock. According to a TikTok video from a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, Green Bay let everyone in Arlington know that they were running the show during the playoff matchup.
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Allege That the Green Bay Packers Players Were Disrespectful
Darian Lassiter, a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader who has been cheering on NFL sidelines for five years, said that Packers players would yell at them after touchdowns. Lassiter claimed “I have never experienced such disrespect from the other teams’ players to the cheerleaders,” in the video. There weren’t any players, jersey numbers, or specific examples cited, but she wasn’t the only Dallas Cowboys cheerleader to chime in.
Jensen Lynn, another Dallas cheerleader, commented “Literally was on the verge of tears,” under the video. It appears that whatever happened on the sidelines crossed a line. It seems that the Green Bay Packers made zero friends in Texas last weekend. San Francisco’s citizens need to keep their heads on a swivel these next few days.
For those who are curious, the Green Bay Packers don’t have cheerleaders, which is for the best considering how cruel a Wisconsin winter can be.
The Green Bay Packers Wild-Card Weekend Beatdown Kept the Season Alive
The Packers had plenty of reason to be amped up last Sunday, as the NFC’s lowest seed pounced early to earn a trip to California. Green Bay didn’t let their foot off the gas until the fourth quarter when they had a 48-16 lead with 10 minutes remaining. Step one toward a Lombardi Trophy was a rousing success in a building that’s typically tough on visiting teams. The Green Bay Packers’ dominant showing was the first time that a #7 seed won a postseason matchup since the NFL changed the playoff format.
This year’s Green Bay Packers are also very young, so it makes sense that emotions were high for them. According to StatMuse, no team has been as young as the Green Bay Packers roster and made the playoffs since the NFL schedule expanded to 16 games. A lot of those young men were playing in the postseason for the first time. It doesn’t excuse disrespecting the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, but they may not be experienced enough to keep their emotions in check. Not with stakes this high.
Are the Packers Ready for the 49ers?
Green Bay is still on the road, this time to face the #1 seed San Francisco 49ers. All season, the 49ers have been heralded as one of the NFL’s Super Bowl favorites. The offense is overloaded with weapons, while the defense is explosive at every level. The Packers’ young group survived round one of the postseason, but each week gets more difficult this time of the year. On Saturday night, the Packers can prove that last week wasn’t a fluke.
