CeeDee Lamb’s mom, Leta Ramirez, was not happy with how the Dallas Cowboys’ season ended during Super Wild Card Weekend. Of course, she was far from alone in watching the underdog Green Bay Packers demolish Dallas. Everyone in the stadium and at home felt Green Bay’s wrath that day. The difference is that Ramirez, with a direct connection to the franchise via CeeDee Lamb, aired out her frustrations in a way that won’t help the team move forward.
CeeDee Lamb’s Mom Does Not Believe in Dak Prescott
“DAK ISN’T IT!!!” CeeDee Lamb’s mom first exclaimed on Facebook. She also said “They need to get rid of his a–,” and “he don’t want to win a RING !” in reference to Dak Prescott. Ramirez stated that CeeDee Lamb deserves better as well, which, in her defense, most mothers will think at any moment about their children.
However, CeeDee Lamb’s mom admires other NFL quarterbacks in Texas. In later comments, Ramirez called CJ Stroud (the Houston Texans rookie quarterback) great and said that she wished CeeDee Lamb would head to Houston. That makes it very clear that her vitriol was intended for nobody but Dak Prescott.
CeeDee Lamb Has Thrived With Dak Prescott; So Have the Dallas Cowboys
CeeDee Lamb’s mom may not understand how much her son has benefitted from playing in Dallas with Prescott. Yes, Dak Prescott is a divisive quarterback. CeeDee Lamb is an undeniably gifted wide receiver that could catch passes from almost anyone. However, Lamb has made three Pro Bowls, two All-Pro teams, and led the NFL in receptions this season. That amount of success in four professional seasons is impossible without a capable quarterback.
During Dak Prescott’s Dallas tenure, which began in 2016, the Cowboys have only completed two seasons without a winning record. The first was an 8-8 campaign in 2019. Prescott’s 4,902 yards was second in the NFL that season, while the Cowboys offense finished first in yards and sixth in scoring. The second was 2020’s 6-10 finish, the year where Prescott suffered an unfortunate season-ending injury after a 2-3 start.
Things could be a lot worse for CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys, even if the sky seems like it’s falling (again) after their latest postseason loss. Dak Prescott may not be Tom Brady, but CeeDee Lamb’s mom has no idea how much worse it can get.
