Just ahead of training camp this week, the ACC released its preseason media poll. The Virginia Cavaliers have been ranked fourth in the ACC Coastal Division. The preseason rankings are influenced by a number of factors including the 2021 season’s final results. After days of news coverage reporting uniform changes and helmet redesigns in the NFL, the UVA Cavaliers are officially on the redesigned bandwagon. In an effort to look and play their best, the Hoos’ helmets are throwing it back in 2022. Going retro,  these helmet designs are a throwback to a design used by the Cavs in the 80s and 90s. It pays to be a Tennessee Vol? In a blockbuster investigation by the NCAA, former Tennessee Volunteers head coach Jeremy Pruitt has been accused of misconduct in recruiting practices. The pay to play scandal has also implicated Pruitt’s wife and members of the coaching staff from 2018-2021. The NCAA alleges that up to $60,000 worth of prohibited compensation was offered to prospective players for the Vols. He will join teammates Brennan Armstrong, Kameron Butler, Nick Jackson, Billy Kemp IV, Coen King, and Keytaon Thompson. The Shrine Bowl is an all-star event.
