The transfer saga of Bru McCoy has come to a close as the NCAA has granted McCoy immediate eligibility as of Friday. The wide receiver and star of USC’s 2019 recruiting class transferred to Tennessee via the transfer portal this spring. On Tuesday, the Tennessee Volunteers suspended linebacker William Mohan. The suspension comes on the heels of Mohan’s arrest on Sunday on a felony domestic aggravated assault charge. A spokesperson from Tennessee’s athletics department issued a statement confirming, “We are aware of the recent arrest of football student-athlete William Mohan. The Tennessee Vols are having a record year-for ticket sales, at least. The Tennessee Athletic Department announced a sales goal of 10,000 new season tickets for the Vols for 2022. But in true VFL fashion, Vol Nation showed up in a much bigger way. As of Wednesday, the University of Tennessee has sold 16,781 new season tickets. With an initial goal of 10,000 new season ticket sales for the 2022 season, the Vols have surpassed their target number by 168 percent. Overall, Tennessee has sold 58,871 season tickets so far.
