The New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons matchup today had major postseason implications in the NFC South division. The Saints ended up blowing out Atlanta 48-17, eliminating the Falcons from playoff contention, while New Orleans remains alive and can clinch a berth with a Green Bay Packers loss to the Chicago Bears, and a Seattle Seahawks loss to the Arizona Cardinals. However, Falcons head coach Arthur Smith seemed to not appreciate the Saints running up the score at the end of the game, and he let New Orleans head coach Dennis Allen know how he felt.
“That’s fucking bullshit”

Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Heated Exchange With Saints Coach
During postgame handshakes, Smith went up to Allen angrily, saying “That’s f***ing bulls***!” Smith has been on the hot seat the last few weeks of the regular season after horrific losses to the Chicago Bears and now the Saints. It looks like his anger about the situation got the best of him, and NFL fans wasted no time making fun of him on social media.
Instead of getting mad… maybe try stopping it? This ain’t little league

“I can’t coach” is what should’ve been said

That’s a loser mindset right there. Maybe he should step up and do something to stop it.

He mad cause he’ll be fired

Many fans are saying that if he did not want that to happen, his team should have performed better. Some people are calling out Smith for having a “loser mindset” and that he should be fired during the offseason. The Falcons have been in the thick of the playoff hunt throughout the season, but had a collapse the last two games, knocking them out of contention and putting Smith’s job in serious jeopardy.
Arthur Smith’s Job In Jeopardy
Smith has been heavily criticized all season long, and his stint with the team looks like it will be coming to an end. Many head coaches have been on the hot seat this season, including big names like Bill Belichick and Mike Vrabel. A few coaches have already been fired like Josh McDaniels and Brandon Staley, and fans think Smith should have been gone a while ago.
Atlanta will finish the season with a 7-10 record, which is third place in the NFC South. As for Smith, his time with the Falcons looks to be at the end of the road, but nothing has been set in stone just yet. Will he be with another team as a head coach or coordinator, or will he remain the coach in Atlanta for one more year?
