The New Orleans Saints have been fighting for a playoff spot and enter Week 17 on the outside looking in. Head coach Dennis Allen has been on the hot seat but it seems as if the upper management of the New Orleans Saints agree as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that the team will likely being keeping him for next season.

The Saints need to win their Week 17 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive as they would be tied for the NFC South lead with a victory. Dennis Allen’s record of 22-45 is not great but it looks a little better as he is 14-18 since taking over as the coach of the New Orleans Saints.
Can the New Orleans Saints win the NFC South?
The New Orleans Saints have been a decent team as they have a 7-8 record and have a commanding 17-0 road lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at halftime of their Week 17 game. However, they are third in the division as they are behind the Atlanta Falcons as well in the division, who they face in Week 18.
If the Saints are able to win the final two games, they will win the division and that seems likelier than not. The New Orleans Saints have a less-than-stellar head coach in Dennis Allen but they have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball that can make plays. If the Saints can win the NFC South, they will be in a great position with a home playoff game but would either face off against the Philadelphia Eagles or the Dallas Cowboys as the fifth seed in the NFC Playoffs.
This would be a major matchup as the Saints have a lot of talent. They have not played against either opponent but would likely be a home underdog in whichever game they would be in.
What are the Saints odds to win the Super Bowl right now?
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the New Orleans Saints are a massive long shot to win the Super Bowl as they are +20000. They are tied with the Falcons but are significantly behind the Tampa Bay Buccanneers at +7000 as of this writing.
