    WR Agiye Hall

Perhaps one of the biggest future needle movers amongst the 2021 transfers is WR Agiye Hall. Hall was a highly rated recruit, and is now at Texas. Hall was esteemed for his size and speed. Both things that will allow him to flourish at Texas. If Hall lives up to his recruiting ranking, the Texas WR corps will be the tops in America, because it is just that talented.

    High School and Recruiting

Agiye Hall was rated as the number 5 WR in his class, and 45th player overall. He just missed five-star status, but was a high blue chip nonetheless. He committed to Nick Saban at Alabama, where he spent his freshman year. Next, he transferred to Texas, and that’s why I get to write about him. Hall played his high school ball at Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, FL. He accounted for 2,688 yards on 141 catches in his career. Nearly 20 yards per catch. He also added 33 TDs. Hall was a monster in high school, and the numbers show as such.

    On Field Skills

The reason Hall was so highly regarded was his size and speed in high school. He was listed at 6’3” 195 pounds coming out, with a 11.18 100m time on his resume. A freaky combination of size and athleticism. Hall struggled with drops his one year at Alabama, and he had some big ones that everyone remembers. However, he is immensely talented and was one of the biggest pulls Texas got in its 2022 portal class. Now, being able to put Hall next to guys like Isaiah Neyor, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and Jahleel Billingsley will be lethal, because it means matchup nightmares will be all over the field.

    Outlook for Texas in 2022

I project Hall to finish as the WR4 overall on the hypothetical season depth chart. He and Isaiah Neyor will likely share similar roles and will be rotated for one another. Hall has big play potential with a QB that likes to make big plays. If Hall can come in and use his size to bully smaller defenders, and his speed to abuse bigger defenders, he could finish higher than the WR4. The Texas WR room is so loaded that a guy rated fifth in his class, may be the fourth or fifth WR on his own college team. Incredible job of talent acquisition by this staff.

    Career Outlook:

Agiye Hall has a chance to explode at Texas under Steve Sarkisian. His size and speed alone will make scouts drool at the mouth for what he could be. If he has even just one semi-breakout season at Texas, he could find himself in top 10 WR discussions when he declares for the draft. I hope for his sake he stays out of trouble for whatever it was at Alabama, and allows his talent to shine through. Assuming he does, Agiye Hall will be a name we hear for a long time in the football world.
