RB Bijan Robinson
Bijan Robinson has been the pride and joy of the University of Texas fan base since the school received his commitment in 2020. Coach Sark always says that Bijan is a great player, but he is an even better person. I’ve never met him off the field, but I know what he can do on the field, and it’s elite. Expect a huge season out of Bijan in 2022, and expect to hear his name in the Heisman Trophy conversation.

High School and Recruiting
Coming out of high school Bijan was the crown jewel of his RB class. Ranked as the number one RB recruit, and the 15th recruit overall, he was wanted by every major program. Robinson finished his high school career with 529 carries for 7,036 yards and 103 TDs. On top of that he added 42 catches for 836 yards and 9 TDs. As a senior, he averaged 253 all purpose yards a game, he was literally unstoppable.
On Field Skills:
On the field there is nothing that Bijan cannot do for a running back. Robinson is the best tackle breaker in the country, has insane vision and the feet to make a sick cutback, and he can line up outside and get himself open with good routes. He can get the powerful 4th&2 first down, or he can break a 60 yard TD run where he sheds 5 tackles. He is the complete package. If there had to be a knock on Robinson, it’s that he doesn’t possess elite speed. He can be hawked down in the open field, but the person who does it will have to have super elite speed. Robinson isn’t slow, so it won’t be a knock on him, but it just won’t wow anyone either.

Outlook for Texas in 2022:
Projecting Bijan’s role in 2022 could not be easier. He will see anywhere from 20 to 30 touches per game, and expect some games where it’s above 30. Coach Sarkisian has made it clear that this offense runs through the ground game, and there’s no better back in college to be able to do it with. It’s widely believed, and I share the opinion, that Bijan is going to get enough work, and produce enough with it, that he will find himself in the Heisman chase by season’s end. If he ends up in the front row at the ceremony, no one will be shocked.
Career Outlook:
I expect Bijan to have a phenomenal career after leaving Texas. I am against taking running backs in the first round, but with Bijan it’s not to. He is an offensive weapon, and could be a guy to take a team’s offense over the top. He will be a first rounder next offseason in the 2023 NFL Draft, and will be a top 10 RB in football by the time he steps on an NFL field. I am that confident in what I’ve seen out of him. The name Bijan Robinson isn’t going anywhere for a long time. If you have a bad dynasty fantasy team this season, let it stay bad, and tank for Bijan.
