The Denver Broncos are entering a new era of football with the signing of Russell Wilson at the quarterback position. Many fantasy owners are bullish on their offense for good reasoning. Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton have been stealing all the offseason hype at the receiver position. I like both of those receiving options for Wilson, I think they have reasonable average draft projections as well.
With all that being said, there is one receiver on the Broncos who I think we need to take a closer look at. Overall, Tim Patrick is being slept on in terms of production and his average draft projection makes him a bargain in fantasy drafts.

What did Patrick do last season?
Undoubtedly Patrick had an under the radar season even with starting the season off on a great pace. Patrick had double digit fantasy points six out of the first nine games of the season. On the season he had 53 receptions for 734 receiving yards and five scores. I get it, these stats aren’t flying off the paper by any means but were looking at a late round value in Patrick.
At the moment Patrick has an average draft projection of 143. This means Patrick could easily be your final receiver drafted in 10 and 12 team leagues. Overall he averaged just under 10 fantasy points a game in full PPR scoring formats, and Wilson could easily amplify that stat line. Don’t forget this offense had very shaky quarterback play last season, that won’t be the case with Wilson as a signal caller.
What can we look forward to from Patrick in 2022?
While the Broncos offense will be moving into a heavier passing attack with the addition of Russell Wilson, the receiver position has shot up in fantasy value for the team. Obviously there are a lot of targets to go around and there’s no denying that Jeudy and Sutton are going to have an increase in value. I think that more fantasy managers should be considering the fact that Patrick could be a huge part of this offense as well.
Unquestionably Patrick could easily bring that same momentum we saw at the beginning of last season to the team. With his current average draft projection being such a bargain, why not take a chance on him? If you feel bullish on the Broncos offense heading into next year, Patrick should absolutely be on your fantasy radar.
