Trevor Lawrence Injury
Lawrence suffered a left knee injury in the Jaguars’ 37-20 victory over their AFC South rival, the Indianapolis Colts. After the game, head coach Doug Pederson told ESPN that he expects the star quarterback to get the start against the Saints on Thursday pending a pregame workout. The quarterback was limited in practice this week on Tuesday and Wednesday, making his official status for week seven questionable.
Lawrence told reporters that he is optimistic that he will be able to play in the prime-time matchup. Regarding his recovery, the quarterback said, “I’m going to do everything I can to be out there. I feel a lot better today than I would have thought so I like how I’m progressing.” The team is hopeful that his pregame workout will go well and that he will be able to participate in the game.Franchise Quarterback
Lawrence has helped Jacksonville get off to a 4-2 start to the 2023 season. He has amounted to 1,439 passing yards and seven touchdowns with a passer rating of 91.7. Over his three-year career, he has gone for 9,193 passing yards and 44 touchdowns with an overall passer rating of 84.6.
The star quarterback has thrived under Doug Pederson as his head coach and looks to continue to improve his game. He has been such a valuable asset to the team, and his absence tonight would be a huge loss for the Jaguars. We will see if he can go tonight, and if you are a fantasy owner, starting Lawrence seems like the best bet.For Additional Content
