So we all know that not every team in the country has five surefire draft picks on it. Some programs do, especially in some of the more elite conferences, but the vast majority don’t have that many top-flight prospects. But, we also know that the definition “top-flight” doesn’t always pan out, and at the same time that strong undrafted free agent everybody forgot? He ends up making an NFL and flourishing.
Below is a look at Texas A&M’s Top 5 Draft Prospects, and how they project in the eyes of Draft Scout. For now, we’ll go strictly with seniors, as no underclassmen have been allowed to declare earlier yet, though when they do? We’ll update the lists below.

TEXAS A&M TOP 5 NFL DRAFT PROSPECTS
NO. 1 PROSPECT
NAME: Myles Jones (CB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 3rd round
CAREER STATISTICS: 124 total tackles, 4 INTs, 33 passes defended
THE TRUTH: At 6’4 and with solid ball skills, Jones’ career began strongly for the Aggies. While having less-than-ideal speed for a cornerback, his closing skills and arm length make up for it. Myles has been hampered by injuries over the last 3 seasons, but if he can stay healthy, he has the potential to have a solid career in the NFL.

NO. 2 PROSPECT
NAME: Demani Richardson (Safety)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 7th round/UFA
CAREER STATISTICS: 216 total tackles, 3 INTs (1 TD), 4 forced fumbles, 2.5 sacks
THE TRUTH: SEC All-Freshman selection in 2019, acknowledged leader of Aggie defense over the last 3 years. Demani has shown himself to be a highly intelligent player and has a knack for putting himself into good positions at opportune times (INT in the end zone over #1 Alabama in 2021, received handoff of fumble recovery from teammate Tyreek Chappell for 82-yard TD against #10 Arkansas in 2022). What he lacks in elite speed he makes up for with intelligence and aggression.

NO. 3 PROSPECT
NAME: Ainias Smith (WR/RB/KR)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: UFA
CAREER STATISTICS: 384 rushing yards (5.7 yards per carry), 1,612 receiving yards (12.7 yards per reception), 1 punt return TD, 19.8 yards per kick return
THE TRUTH: A do-it-all kind of player, Smith was the unquestioned leader on offense for Texas A&M before an injury cut short his senior season. At 5’9 and posting a 4.4 40-yard time with elite-level route-running ability, he is the prototypical slot receiver in today’s NFL.
NO. 4 PROSPECT
NAME: Brian George (CB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: UFA
CAREER STATISTICS: 23 total tackles, 1 INT
THE TRUTH: A former 4-star and top JUCO player in the country, George’s career hasn’t panned out with A&M as expected. Still a talented player, just buried on a depth chart full of other talented players. I would expect him to get looks as a scout team contributor in the NFL if he can stay healthy.
NO. 5 PROSPECT
NAME: Andre White, Jr. (ILB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: UFA
CAREER STATISTICS: 120 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 10.5 TFL, 1 INT
THE TRUTH: Steady player with decent football IQ, but can get out of position and miss too many tackles. Could develop into a solid professional if gets a chance with a good NFL organization.
