We all know that not every team in the country has five surefire draft picks on it. Some programs do, especially in some of the more elite conferences, but the vast majority don’t have that many top-flight prospects. Although, we also know that the definition “top-flight” doesn’t always pan out. At the same time, that strong undrafted free agent that everybody forgot ends up making an NFL and flourishing.
Below is a look at Alabama Top 5 Draft Prospects, and how they project in the eyes of Draft Scout. For now, we’ll go strictly with seniors, as no underclassmen have been allowed to declare earlier yet. When they do, we’ll update the lists below.

ALABAMA TOP 5 NFL DRAFT PROSPECTS
NO. 1 PROSPECT
NAME: Jordan Battle (SS)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 1st round
CAREER STATISTICS: 219 total tackles, 125 solo, 156 yards
THE TRUTH: Draft Scouts put Battle as the #1 rated senior safety by all 32 teams. In 2021, he had 73 total tackles and three interceptions. This selection shouldn’t come as a surprise to most. Battle’s fast thinking and optimal build makes him a great prospect.
NO. 2 PROSPECT
NAME: Henry To’oto’o (ILB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 3rd round
CAREER STATISTICS: 319 total tackles, 160 solo, 159 ast
THE TRUTH: Draft Scouts say that he is considered a top five senior inside linebacker by over twenty teams. A Tennessee transfer, To’oto’o had 101 total tackles in 2021. Not only is he becoming a household name for his speed and strength but has been referred to as a “genius” by Jordan Battle. It’s fair to say he deserves this spot on the Alabama Top 5 NFL Draft Prospects list.
NO. 3 PROSPECT
NAME: Emil Ekiyor Jr. (OG)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 4th round
CAREER STATISTICS: /
THE TRUTH: This is an interesting choice in my opinion. At 307 pounds, Ekiyor seems like a pretty sturdy asset. He did lose 16 pounds for the 2022 season. Draft Scouts say that he may be anywhere from a 3rd round pick to a 5th round pick. Like me, scouts are interested to see where this goes.

NO. 4 PROSPECT
NAME: DJ Dale (DT)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 4th round
CAREER STATISTICS: 64 total tackles, 29 solo, 35 ast
THE TRUTH: Dale has been named a top ten senior defensive tackle by more than twenty teams. Draft Scouts do question some possible medical red flags. After sitting out of the Mississippi game, this concern is understandable. Time will tell if injury works against Dale. I do think he deserves this spot on the Alabama Top 5 NFL Draft Prospects list, but that could change depending on how the next few weeks go.
NO. 5 PROSPECT
NAME: Cameron Latu (TE)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 4th round
CAREER STATISTICS: 44 rec, 627 yds, 14.3 avg
THE TRUTH: At 6’4″ and 244 pounds, Latu is the perfect candidate for a tight end pick on paper. However, scouts are torn on their opinion of him. Latu is a previous linebacker and defensive end. Maybe he has found his place in the tight end position. Either way, he was considered a top five senior TE by over twenty teams.
