We all know that not every team in the country has five surefire draft picks on it. Some programs do, especially in some of the more elite conferences, but the vast majority don’t have that many top-flight prospects. Although, we also know that the definition “top-flight” doesn’t always pan out. At the same time, that strong undrafted free agent that everybody forgot ends up making an NFL and flourishing.
Below is a look at Auburn’s Top 5 Draft Prospects, and how they project in the eyes of Draft Scout. For now, we’ll go strictly with seniors, as no underclassmen have been allowed to declare earlier yet. When they do, we’ll update the lists below.

Auburn’s TOP 5 NFL DRAFT PROSPECTS
NO. 1 PROSPECT
NAME: Derick Hall (OLB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 2nd round
CAREER STATISTICS: 132 TOT, 87 solo, 45 AST
THE TRUTH: Draft Scouts say that Hall is the number one rated senior OLB by over twenty teams. They also make note of his “breakout” in 2021, his thirteen-pound weight gain, and his “only one QBH.” Additionally, at 6’2″ and 256 pounds, Hall seems like a solid choice. Draft Scouts also put him as 41/350. He could go in rounds 1-3.
NO. 2 PROSPECT
NAME: Owen Pappoe (ILB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 3rd round
CAREER STATISTICS: 230 TOT, 128 solo, 102 AST, 5 PD
THE TRUTH: Drafts Scouts deemed Pappoe as the number one rated senior ILB by over twenty teams. They make note of his ankle injury in 2021. He is also 6’1″ and 225 pounds. A rank of 94/350 and a 3rd-round pick is the appropriate place for Pappoe on the Auburn Top 5 NFL Draft Prospects list.
NO. 3 PROSPECT
NAME: Nehemiah Pritchett (CB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: 7-HPFA
CAREER STATISTICS: 84 TOT, 56 solo, 28 AST, 20 PD
THE TRUTH: Draft Scouts put Pritchett at 340/350. With his performance in twelve games with twenty-five total tackles in 2021, round 7 or an HPFA is fitting for this 6’0″, 182-pound CB on the Auburn Top 5 NFL Draft Prospects list.

NAME: John Samuel Senker (TE/FB)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: HPFA
CAREER STATISTICS: (Receiving: 68 REC, 779 yds, 11.5 AVG, 3 TD)
THE TRUTH: Draft Scouts say that Senker eventually may have a shot at rounds 5-7
and will be in the 2023 draft, using an extra covid-year. He clocks in at 6’3″ and 250 pounds, showing an eight-pound weight gain from 2021.
NO. 5 PROSPECT
NAME: Brandon Council (OG)
DRAFTSCOUT PROJECTION: HPFA
CAREER STATISTICS: 40 games played
THE TRUTH: According to Draft Scouts, Council is 6″3 and 328 pounds and is injury prone. They also say that he downgraded some to FA in the 2022 tryout. Making note that he may not be a starter, Draft Scouts justifies Council as a fair HPFA on the Auburn Top 5 NFL Draft Prospects list.
