Former wide receiver and current analyst Steve Smith Sr. destroyed Denver Broncos receiver Jerry Jeudy just before the Thursday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Smith on his podcast called the receiver “Just a guy,” and it seems the comments made their way to Jeudy. This resulted in the Denver receiver allegedly using a slur at Smith and caused chaos during the pregame show.
Wow, Steve Smith killed #Broncos Jerry Jeudy.
Listen to the end: "You're an average WR. Don't trade for Jerry Jeudy, because he mentally unable to handle criticism."

Steve Smith Sr.’s Comments
Jeudy told Smith “I don’t mess with you” after approaching the analyst during the pregame show. This resulted in Smith going off on the receiver saying that he would tell NFL GMs not to trade for him amidst the trading rumors surrounding Jeudy. Smith said, “Don’t trade for Jerry Jeudy, because he’s unable to handle constructive criticism from people, who watch specifically, can he be a wide receiver? He can be a wide receiver, he’s a tier three. Go back into the studio I’m done now!”
It looks like the Broncos may have a severe problem with Jeudy which can be why they are looking to trade him away. Getting rid of him would be the next logical move for the team as long as other teams are looking to add him to their roster.
Jerry Jeudy’s Struggles
The Denver receiver had been struggling this season, only amounting to 208 receiving yards and zero touchdowns. He only has 17 receptions on the year and has visibly been frustrated with the Broncos’ struggles this season. If he is traded, he will have to prove to everyone and himself that he is not the problem in Denver.
Since joining the league in 2020, he has 2,503 receiving yards and nine touchdowns with 174 receptions. Coming off his best year in 2022, Jeudy has certainly dropped in production this season so far. It can be a problem with quarterback Russell Wilson, but it has not looked good for the case of the receiver. We will see if there is any ensuing drama that boils over into the week.
