The Ole Miss Rebels had a good season in 2023 but are looking to improve in 2024. Head coach Lane Kiffin has been busy trying to drastically improve the roster to compete in the SEC. He landed a big piece today when former Arkansas linebacker Chris Paul Jr. committed to the program.

Ole Miss Rebels Land LB Chris Paul Jr. From The Transfer Portal
The talented linebacker had a huge season for the Razorbacks. He had a career-high 74 tackles to go with 6.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. That came on the heels of a 62-tackle season. The Rebels pick up a tackling machine who can anchor their defense in 2024. It is a huge get for Kiffin and his staff especially this early in the offseason. They can now focus their efforts elsewhere and be able to show other prospects that they already have a lot of talent in the building.
2024 New Look SEC
The SEC picks up Texas and Oklahoma in this upcoming season. Like so many teams in the SEC, it is an absolute gauntlet of a schedule. Games against LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Florida are all on the schedule with other tough SEC teams sprinkled throughout. The good news is the Rebels have shown they can play and win in big games. They have also had a great recruiting cycle and are looking to land more talent via the portal. While everyone is expecting Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Georgia to be on top, don’t sleep on the Rebels.
Can Ole Miss surprise some people and win the SEC in 2024? If they continue to get players like Chris Paul Jr. they should be able to hang with any team in the nation.
