Aaron Rodgers has had his share of controversial moments, but what we do know is that Aaron Rodgers is going to make the NFL Hall Of Fame, he’s also yet to play more than one drive for the New York Jets.
After being acquired from the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury, which sidelined him for the entire 2023-24 season, despite a huge comeback attempt from Rodgers.
For a period of time, it looked like there was a chance that New York Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was considering walking away from the NFL to pursue a political career as independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was considering the future Hall of Fame quarterback as his running mate. But the Jets team owner Woody Johnson was not all that concerned about Rodgers running with Kennedy Jr.
Jets Owner Woody Johnson on Aaron Rodgers
On Fox News, the Jets owner had this to say about Rodgers and his politics.
“He is getting back to football 100 percent,” Johnson said according to the New York Post. “He never left football. That was a momentary distraction — maybe like going in the dark room or whatever. But he’s back 100 percent. Great leader. I tell the receivers: ‘You count to 10, hold your hands up and look around, the ball will be there.’”
Aaron Rodgers also revealed recently he thought his career was over after his Achilles Tear.
“I was really thinking, ‘This is it. You don’t come back from this injury,'” Rodgers said during an interview on the “I Can Fly” podcast, per the Associated Press.
