Congrats @nfl. How many more players have to get hurt on ARTIFICIAL TURF??! You care more about soccer players than us. You plan to remove all artificial turf for the World Cup coming up. So clearly it’s feasible.

How it Happened
Aaron Rodgers was sacked on the Jets’ first drive of the game, which led to him landing awkwardly, and you can see his Achilles pop on the instant replay. Rodgers then proceeded to take a seat on the field, with a concerned look on his face. He was then helped over to the sideline and into the blue tent to check how serious the injury might be. After some time in the tent, Rodgers was placed on a cart and carted off of the file to the locker room to get X-rays.

Robert Saleh Reaction
From his injury status being questionable to doubtful, to out throughout the first half, fans and analysts alike speculated the absolute worst. After the game, Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh immediately addressed reporters before they could ask for the update on Rodgers’ injury, saying, “MRI is gonna confirm what we think is already gonna happen. But it’s not good.”

Roller Coaster of Emotions
Well, unfortunately, the speculation turned out to be correct in this situation, as Rodgers is now out for the season. It was a bittersweet night for Jets fans across the globe, as they witnessed the heartbreaking injury to Aaron Rodgers, but also a walk-off win for their Jets on a punt return from Xavier Gipson that went for 65 yards to the house.
You could tell that this win meant a lot to the team and the fans. They showed that they have what it takes to win in this league against some of the best teams in the NFL, as they defeated the Buffalo Bills in overtime 22-16.
Where Does Aaron Rodgers Go from Here
As for Aaron Rodgers, now we all know the situation regarding his injury. The speculation around the NFL world is growing around what is gonna happen next. For now, it is likely that he will be on the Jets’ sideline to help now-starting quarterback for the Jets, Zach Wilson.
Wilson comes in with something to prove, as Aaron Rodgers took the starting position from him. With the chip on his shoulder, and now Rodgers sidelined for the season, ready to mentor his successor, Wilson is ready for a big improvement in 2023.
The other question the NFL world is asking is one that nobody wants to accept might be a reality in the coming weeks, as we follow this injury recovery closely. That question is, will Aaron Rodgers going to retire after this season?
