As LSU gets set to kickoff their 2022 season tonight in New Orleans against Florida State they continue to say hot on the recruiting trail. The Tigers added another key piece to it’s 2024 recruiting class by landing four-star defensive back Zion Ferguson. He chose the Tigers over South Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, and others. Ferguson spoken on what ultimately led him heading to Baton Rouge:
“The more schools I visited, the more LSU separated from the others. I was high on LSU from the beginning because it was my dream school, but the culture under BK (Brian Kelly) made it the one.”

According to On3 Consensus Rankings, Ferguson currently ranks as the No. 155 player in the 2024 class and is also the No. 18 cornerback. He is also the No. 26 player in the state of Georgia.
The product of Grayson High School joins two other teammates in the recruiting trail to commit to the Tigers. Other notable commitments from Ferguson’s high school is 2023 safety Michael Daugherty and 2024 athlete Joseph Stone.
The addition of Ferguson adds the total commitments to five for the class of 2024 recruiting cycle. The purple and gold currently rank No. 3 in 247’s 2024 Recruit Football Team Rankings.
