The Kansas City Chiefs are set to do what no other franchise in the history of the NFL has ever done before. After winning their second straight title earlier this month, Patrick Mahomes and Co. will now be looking to three-peat in 2024 — a feat that has never been accomplished in the league’s 104-year history.
The Chiefs will obviously have a huge target on their back, and they will undoubtedly need to strengthen their roster ahead of this gargantuan task. As it turns out, reinforcements might come in the form of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans.
Mike Evans to the Kansas City Chiefs?
Evans is one of the biggest names that is set to headline the 2024 free agency class. The Bucs appear to be working towards extending Evans’ deal but at the end of the day, it might be out of their control.
If the five-time Pro Bowl WR ends up parting ways with Tampa Bay this summer, then it appears that the Chiefs are the frontrunners to land his services. According to Bet Online, Kansas City currently has the best odds to acquire Evans at +200 (h/t Peter Sampson of ClutchPoints).
Mahomes already has a ton of weapons at his disposal in KC, but it wouldn’t hurt to add a dude like Evans into the mix. Not at all. Especially considering what the Chiefs are set out to do this coming season.
It’s not a one-horse race for Evans, though. Not far behind the Chiefs are the New York Jets, who have been given +300 odds. In third are the Chicago Bears at +500.

No way. Evans is too old. They will go for Tee Higgins or Tyler Boyd.
