In case you missed it — the Atlanta Falcons shocked the world when they passed on every defensive player in the 2024 NFL Draft as well as potential offensive playmakers in favor of their potential quarterback of the future in the form of Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., with the eighth overall pick.
The Falcons signed Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million deal just one month ago, seemingly solidifying their QB position, but decided to still add a young arm to their room…albeit with an extremely high selection.
