The San Francisco 49ers gave the Kansas City Chiefs a proper scare in Sunday night’s epic Super Bowl LVIII showdown. In the end, however, Patrick Mahomes and Co. reigned supreme as they secured an iconic 25-22 win in overtime against a heartbroken Niners squad.

Mahomes faced the cameras shortly after throwing a title-winning touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman deep in overtime. One of the questions he faced was about the much-talked-about Chiefs dynasty. According to the 28-year-old, Kansas City is just getting started:
“Yeah, it’s a start of [a dynasty],” Mahomes said. “We’re not done. I know we’re gonna celebrate tonight. … We’re not done. We’re a young team. We’re gonna keep this thing going.”

Mahomes knows all too well that the Chiefs will have a target on their back next season. After all, no other team in the history of the sport has ever won three Super Bowls in a row. Be that as it may, the superstar QB remains unfazed. In fact, he’s already warned the rest of the league that the Chiefs are going to be back hungrier than ever next season.
