The Kansas City Chiefs added an offensive weapon back to the 53-man roster in a week, and they desperately need skilled players. The Chiefs are coming off what offensive coordinator Matt Nagy described as the offense’s low point of the season when they lost to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day.
Injuries didn’t help the Chiefs in Week 16. Several players are still working through injuries this week, as left tackle Donovan Smith and wide receiver Kadarius Toney were ruled out Friday afternoon for their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. They have a few running backs, including Isiah Pacheco, who is questionable to play the Bengals.
The Kansas City Chiefs add a WR to the 53-man roster
The Chiefs made a few roster moves Saturday to compensate for the injury bug in Week 17. According to a statement by the Chiefs, wide receiver Mecole Hardman was activated from injured reserve to the 53-man roster. The Chiefs activated running back Keaontay Ingram and nose tackle Mike Pennell.
The Chiefs also waived veteran defensive tackle Matt Dickerson to make room for Hardman’s activation.

The Chiefs will hope Hardman and Ingram can provide enough juice for the 9-6 Chiefs to get past the 8-7 Bengals, who will be led by backup quarterback Jake Browning.
