Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has been rumored to be interested in taking an NFL coaching job next season. The top candidate according to analysts is the Los Angeles Chargers after they just fired their previous head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco. Harbaugh has been rumored to be interested in teams like the Chargers, Chicago Bears, and the Carolina Panthers. However, according to an NFL analyst, the Chargers would be the best fit for the head coach.

Jim Harbaugh Rumors
Analyst Chris Fallica believes that Los Angeles will be where Harbaugh ends up after this season concludes. He states that the Chargers are the best suitor for Harbaugh and that he has the closest ties to the organization. Fallica calls this a “great situation” for the coach and the team because of the amount of talent that the Chargers possess.
This looks like the best-case scenario for both Harbaugh and the Chargers for several reasons. The Michigan coach would have one of the most talented rosters on paper to work with, having guys like quarterback Justin Herbert, running back Austin Ekeler, and wide receiver Keenan Allen.
Could Harbaugh Bring In A Solid Defensive Coordinator
He could also bring life into the struggling defense by bringing in a solid defensive coordinator with him, which would ultimately give the Chargers a massive advantage with all of the talent on the defensive side of the ball. With guys like Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, and Derwin James, there would be no shortage of potential if the team was able to bring in a decent defensive coordinator.
While nothing is set in stone, Harbaugh remains one of the heavy favorites to join the squad aside from New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who currently leads all candidates with the best odds to join the Chargers next season. Could bringing in Harbaugh make the Chargers a contender, or will he flop like the rest of the team’s head coaches in recent history?
