On Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers annoucned three major injuries as the team begins their OTAs this May. Media was present at the Packers practice on Tuesday, and head coach Matt LaFleur held a press conference following their workout.

Per Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated, offensive lineman Zach Tom and tight end Tucker Kraft are battling pec injuries. The Packers don’t think the injury will affect the season, but Tom is not expected to practice until training camp.

The most significant injury news for the Packers has to do with running back Josh Jacobs. The Packers made a splash signing in free agency when they added the 2022 NFL rushing yards leader. The Packers decided to release Aaron Jones following a 2023 season where he was plagued by hamstring injuries.

Per Ryan Wood with USA Today, LaFleur said Jacobs suffered a hamstring injury.

“I know everybody is going to freak out, but he’s on the mend. We expect him back pretty shortly,” LaFleur said.

In recent memory, the Packers have seen many skilled players deal with hamstring issues. Wide receiver Christian Watson has suffered several since joining the team in 2022. This offseason, the Packers are working to try to address their problems with hamstring injuries.

The Packers’ $48 million weapon is dealing with it for now.

The official welcome to the Packers. Hamstring soreness

Is it a bad time to point out he basically missed the same amount of games as Aaron Jones over the past 4-5 years?

    — Shaun (@osha3264) May 21, 2024

Keep in mind, he was “questionable” and trying to play for like the last 5 weeks of last season
